Lamisil Gel Can Be Applied To Get Rid Of Ringworm

Ringworm is an infection that can have many forms and there is a certain way of treating each of its form. The most common method of treating ringworms involves applying an antifungal cream or gel to the infected area locally until the infection is removed completely. If the ringworm infection is very bad then the doctor from the offshore pharmacies may have to prescribe oral medication along with the gel or cream in the form of tablets. The medication should not be put off after starting it unless the doctor instructs to do so. One of the most effective products used in the treatment is lamisil gel.
A lot of care has to be taken if you are infected by ringworm. Hygiene needs to be maintained at this stage completely to facilitate the removal of this condition along with the help of medication. Any lesions on the skin should be strapped with the help of a band aid or any sterile piece of clothing to prevent the infection from spreading to other parts. It has been often seen that the infection from foot passes to the toenails if proper hygiene is not maintained.
In some cases the lesions are seen enveloped by a thick crust. In such situations you should try to remove this thick crust with the help of a mixture of tolnaftate and Acetone. Dab this mixture on the thickened lesions and then treat it with a thin coating of lamisil. Rub the area gently till the cream seeps into the area entirely. Lamisil can be used to good effect in addition with tolnafate for removing the ringworm infection found on the nails. This solution has to be applied externally on the infection while other antifungal medicine would be required to be taken internally along with it.
Lamisil gel is also effective in the treatment of ringworm if used in addition with Selsen Blue shampoo which is an antifungal pharmaceutical product. The shampoo can enhance the effectiveness of the gel and easily clean the infected areas when applied to it. Many types of ringworm infections can be treated using this solution including ringworm on foot and crotch area. These prescription drugs from offshore pharmacies are very helpful in the removal of ringworm infections in a short period of time. Using long term treatment method is not favorable as it brings many side effects by the prolonged use of these medicines.
